The client and the problem
Carpetix is a specialist: carpet and upholstery cleaning done properly, for customers who mostly need it now, a stain, a flat inspection, a move-out deadline. The search behaviour in this trade is documented and brutal: it happens on a phone, it compares whoever appears first, and it ends in a call within about a minute. There is no funnel to nurture. There is a moment to win or lose.
The old-web answer to this trade is a template with stock photography and a contact form, and it loses the moment silently: slow to load, generic to look at, and the phone number two scrolls away.
What was built, and why
The architecture came from keyword research before any design existed: which cleaning services carry their own search demand, which questions customers ask, which local terms matter. Each service that earned a page got a real one, written specifically, so it can rank alone and convert alone.
The design puts the trade's two real assets everywhere: proof and reachability. Actual results photography leads the page, because a genuine before-and-after out-sells any slogan in this business. And the enquiry, call, WhatsApp, booking, lives in the header on every page, sized for thumbs. The restraint is deliberate: nothing decorative was allowed to slow the load or crowd the call to action, because in an eleven-second decision, decoration is a cost.
What it demonstrates
That the winning move in urgent local trades is not cleverness but alignment: the site is shaped exactly like the decision it serves. The full playbook this build follows, trade by trade, is public on our trades and home services SEO page, and the site itself is live at carpetixltd.co.uk, which is the only case study evidence worth trusting.
